Sandataan Announcement

Announcement! The Bacon Sandataan Metro Manila Association will hold its yearly Thanksgiving Mass in honor of Our Lady of Annunciation on March 21, 2010 (Sunday) at Christ the King Seminary, E. Rodriguez Ave., Quezon City at 11:00 A.M.

After the mass, while dinner is being served, election for the new set of officers for 2010 will be conducted. So, on behalf of the incumbent officers, I encouraged all Bacongnons living here in Metro Manila to attend the activity and be elected as one of the officers.
Let us live on to this tradition!

Hello Badong,

You don't need to attend the mass if you don't feel like it but am sure you are ready for lunch or dinner.
After dinner you can leave.

By the way, I will suggest a donation should be asked from attendees especially from you.

Would the agenda be limited to elections? Would there be any discussions on any plans to offer assistance to the poor of Bacon? At least some activity to help them earn something to help their families?

Now that the election of officers are presumably completed, I would expect that the new officers would be busy preparing for their induction and then the grand sandataan ball in December. I would certainly be surprised if there is even the slightest hint of any activity to help Bacon and the Bacongnons. I am now convinced that helping Bacon is never considered by the sandataan organization. It claims to be so only to justify its existence and its solicitation of funds. But it is now established that it is nothing but a social organization that pretends to be civic spirited - probably its pretentious real nature.

Need I say more.........thanks Tagabulod.

I could have been slightly blinded in the past being a little bit new to the current Bacongnon stream......that's why I was not so direct about it...... and to give more leeway for some more positive input about this supposed civic and social organization......at least somebody from the area who I think knows more about their ins and outs just plainly laid it out……..

Ah, Bacongnons, when will you set aside the fleeting, false flair of masked social interactions……it has not done any permanent good to the soul of Bacon…… how many years has it been? What are the pressing woes of Bacon? Do these miseries have roots from the old? Please think Bacongnons, for your sake.
