Thanks for the information. However, that has been overtaken by subsequent events. As we write, the COMELEC is preparing to proclaim the top 10 senatorial winners - Legarda, Escudero, Lacson, Vilar, Aquino, Pangilinan, Angara, Cayetano, Arroyo & Honasan. This represents 6 winners from GO, 2 independents and 2 from TU.

The proclamation of winners for the last two positions, now held by Trillanes (11th) and Pimentel (12th), both of GO, will be deferred until the all the returns are tabulated - recognizing the possibility that Zubiri (13th) and Recto (14th), both of TU, may still have a chance to make it to the Top 12. This has been complicated when Recto conceded defeat two days ago, following the same concession made by Mike Defensor of TU.

On the local elections, the following have already been proclaimed winners:

Governor - Sally Lee
Vice Governor - R. Laurinaria
Congressman (1st) - Sonny Escudero
Congressman (2nd) - Jose Solis
S'gon City Mayor - Leovic Dioneda
City Vice Mayor - Edmundo Atutubo

The one thing I can say about this is why it has taken so long to tabulate the results. When one can fly from Batanes to Sulu in less than half a day, why did it take more than two weeks for the Certificates of Canvass from some provinces in Mindanao to reach Manila? Makes one think of something, doesn't it?

PWE!
