Give - Rene J. Dellosa

Here's a poem based on the Bible about caring and sharing from an unknown author. This is relevant in these times where there is so much natural disasters everywhere, hurricanes, tsunamis, typhoons, volcanic eruptions, floods, earthquakes generating so much deaths and sufferings on the survivors. If those were not enough, we also have those man-made disasters like the ethnic cleansing in the Darfur region of Sudan and Somalia, and the civil war in Iraq with unimaginable catastrophic results.

GIVE -Author, Unknown

I do not know how long I'll live
But while I live Lord, Let me Give some comfort to someone in need

By a smile or nod, kind words or deed
And let me do what e'er I can
to ease things for my fellow men
I want naught but to do my part
to lift a tired or weary heart to change folks' frowns to smiles again
And then I will not have lived in vain
And I'll not care how long I'll live
If I can GIVE--and GIVE-
And GIVE

my love to my family and to all of you Frost after 22 years

Poem by Elizabeth Browning - Anonymous

How do I love thee?

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breath and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and Ideal Grace

I love thee to the level of everyday’s
Most quiet need, by sun & candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right,
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise

I love thee with the passion to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood faith
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints- I love thee with the breath
Smiles, tears, of all my life- and if God choose,
I shall love thee better after death.

Happy Valentines!
